Resident reported on 8/10/23 that he was having pain in his right hand. Resident was assessed and x-ray was completed, showing an acute angulated distal 5th metacarpal fracture. Upon questioning, he reported that he hit a wall earlier in the week. Resident went to Ozark Orthopedics on 08/11/2023. Upon return he has orders for buddy ring to small finger daily, ice to area and range of motion of fingers and no gripping. Resident denies any pain at this time. Will follow-up with Ozark Ortho in 7-10 days.
