The Arkansas Self-Advocates Present (ASAP) Network is comprised of self-advocates across Arkansas that educate other self-advocates, family members, and their communities about the issues that affect the lives of people with disabilities. We envision a time when leaders in the disability advocacy movement are those with disabilities.
If you decide to become a presenter for Arkansas Self-Advocates Present Network, you will learn how to speak publicly, build a strong network, and manage your time. Presenters of ASAP will be given opportunities to put their newly developed skills to use by speaking at various events, organizations, and businesses. You will become the leader in the disability advocacy movement.
To apply for the Network, you must have a disability and live in Arkansas. You do not need experience with presenting; we will teach you what you need to know. You must be comfortable with speaking in front of a group, and have a basic skill set of technology to be successful.
