National Sibling Day: What about your child who doesn’t have a disability?

This past Sunday, April 10, was National Sibling Day.  While parents of a child with a disability work hard to address all of the challenges coming their way, it’s easy to overlook the sibling relationship.  Sibling relationships can be a key part of your child’s future; it is your child’s siblings who can be there to support their brother or sister after the parents are gone or are no longer in a good position to manage everything by themselves.  The following article is an introduction to an important resource for the siblings of people with disabilities, the Sibling Leadership Network.
