October is National Bullying Prevention Month

Facts about bullying:

More than one out of five students (20.8%) report being bullied

64% of children who were bullied did not report it

More than half of bullying situations (57%) stop when a peer intervenes on behalf of the student being bullied

Students with disabilities are two to three times more likely to be bullied than their non-disabled peers

October is National Bullying Prevention Month.  Talk to your children about bullying, and talk to your school’s administration about what they are doing to address bullying.  To learn more, check out this helpful resource:  Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center
