The Census is a collection of data about who lives in the United States and where. It’s required by the United States Constitution and takes place every ten years, in years ending in “0”. The census is basically a series of short but important questions that will influence policymaking and planning in the U.S. for the next decade.

An accurate count of the population serves as the basis for fair political representation and plays a vital role in many areas of public life. It’s important for everyone to participate in the Census, but for people with disabilities, it’s crucial.

Tonight, we’re going to talk about making sure people with disabilities are counted in the 2020 Census: why it matters, what’s at stake, and what YOU can do to make sure you and your loved ones are counted.

Tune in! Tonight at 5:00 p.m. on KABF, 88.3 FM. Live stream it here. And if you miss us tonight, no worries – we’ll post the recording so you can listen in later.

UPDATE: Tonight’s program is CANCELLED. Look for information on an upcoming webinar about Disability and the Census!
