What Mental Illness Feels Like

With nearly 44 million American adults, and millions of children, experiencing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder every year, no one should feel like they are alone, yet many do feel this way.  In acknowledgement of this, and May being recognized as Mental Health month, Mental Health America (MHA) initiated the campaign, “Life with a mental illness”.

As part of this campaign, MHA is encouraging people to share what life with a mental illness feels like for them, in words, pictures and video.  Posts that are tagged #mentalillnessfeelslike will be collected and displayed at: http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/feelslike
