Licensing Specialist observed all units (Green, blue, and orange) to ensure that residents are participating in scheduled activities. Licensing Specialist arrived during a new work shift and staff were preparing for activities.
- Orange unit: ratio 2:9. Residents were watching television, playing cards, sitting down, or playing with a ball in the day area. Per staff, residents were getting ready to participate in exercises. Licensing Specialist was provided with the exercise schedule (types of exercises and how many) for the residents.
- Blue unit: ratio 2:9. Residents were reading, writing/journaling, or playing with a ball in the day area. Licensing Specialist observed one resident in her room due an order from her therapist when transitions are taking place. Licensing Specialist observed the therapist entering the unit to conduct therapy group with theresidents.
- Green unit: 4:11. Residents were in a therapy group in a classroom. Residents were sitting in a half circle in chairs/desks with the therapist at the front of the room. Other staff were positioned in different areas of the classroom. Maintenance was repairing the shower floor in bedroom/bathroom 305 on the green unit. Licensing Specialist: Kendra Rice.
