Disability Rights Arkansas (DRA) envisions an Arkansas in which people with disabilities are fully accepted as equal members in their communities. As such, they are entitled to access to all aspects of community life.
Disability Rights Arkansas (DRA) is committed to a leadership role in promoting accessibility for people with disabilities. Such accessibility includes, but is not limited to, accommodations for mobility, sensory, communication and cognitive impairments.
*While accessibility is often used to describe facilities or amenities to assist people with disabilities, as in “wheelchair accessible“, the term can extend to Braille signage, wheelchair ramps, elevators, audio signals at pedestrian crossings, walkway contours, website design, and so on.
