Staff reported residents beating up staff and taking over facility; officer made contact with staff and residents, whom stated resident 1 had been “messing” with staff; residents 2-6 stated that they did not like resident 1 so they “jumped him and beat him up”; staff reported resident had kicked her in stomach during fight, resident also kicked and spit on trooper; all residents involved had minor injuries, MEMS responded to assess residents.

Officers responded to location due to residents answering facility phone giggling and hanging up, someone different answered each time; upon arrival staff notified officer that two residents were “out of control” and trying to break things at nurses station, fire alarm pulled by nurses station; officers cleared the scene and reported staff no longer needed assistance.

Staff reported resident had kicked a staff member in the head and staff is having trouble breathing, staff taken to Conway Baptist Hospital; when officers arrived on scene they were advised that five residents were missing; officers assisted residents back to facility; unspecified laceration to arm requesting another ambulance; officers requesting assistance with residents rioting in the dining room; resident 1 has been charged with Battery Third Degree and transported to Faulkner County Juvenile Detention Center.
