People with disabilities have the right to live, learn, work, and play freely in Arkansas. For that to happen, our state must commit to creating policies that address the following areas:
- Individuals with disabilities have the right to make decisions about their own lives.
- The shortage of Direct Support Professionals for people in the community.
- Safe, affordable, and accessible housing.
- Opportunities for real work for real pay.
- Safe, comprehensive, and inclusive education for every student.

DRA’s effort to educate policy makers regarding issues affecting individuals with disabilities is made possible through the support of our federal grantors; however, it expressly does not reflect the opinions of those agencies and organizations. DRA does not lobby with funds through our federal grantors. Accordingly, any information that reflects a particular position on a policy, rule, bill, or law is specifically paid for through the generous help of our private donors.
