Officers made contact with staff, who stated patient refused to return to unit and was physically escorted by staff. Staff stated that patient became verbally aggressive at this point and charged a nurse at the facility. Staff restrained patient, who then started kicking the staff and staff grabbed patient’s legs to prevent injury. Patient then freed arm and punched staff three times in the back of the head with a closed fist. Staff suffered minor injuries.
