An ombudsman is an official appointed to receive and investigate complaints made by individuals, usually against some type of agency or institution. The Arkansas Long Term Care Ombudsman program is a program housed in the Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS). This program serves as an advocate for residents in long-term care facilities, to ensure their rights are protected.
