On 3/7/24, Resident broke out in hives and had complaints of shortness of breath. She was assessed by our Nurse Practitioner and was expected to be having an allergic reaction to a new antibiotic she had just started (Doxycycline). Resident was ordered to be sent out to Baptist Crittenden ER for further evaluation. Resident was returned to Perimeter and Doxycycline was discontinued. Resident has a follow up appointment scheduled Wednesday at Arkansas Health Center.
Facility staff reported to Licensing: “She was returned and started on a Medrol dose pack and different antibiotic; she is doing well no complaints.”
