DRA Executive Director to serve as board president of National Disability Rights Network

At the Annual Business meeting for National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) this month, Disability Rights Arkansas Executive Director Tom Masseau was elected as President of the NDRN Board of Directors for a two-year term. In this role, Masseau will be responsible for promoting the rights of persons with disabilities; advancing the interests of member protection and advocacy organizations and facilitating coordination and mutual support throughout the network.

“It is an honor and privilege to serve as the NDRN Board President.  As someone who has been involved in the protection and advocacy system for over thirty years, I see the passion and expertise that each state brings to the network.  It is important that the network remain focused on advocating for persons with disabilities and using every tool in our tool box,” says Masseau.  “Over the next two years, I look to work with my colleagues in developing a strong strategic plan for the network and furthering the human, civil and legal rights of persons with disabilities.”
