Information about applying for FEMA Disaster Relief Assistance

The State of Arkansas has been approved for a major disaster declaration due to the recent storms and subsequent flooding. Individual Assistance, Public Assistance Category A—Debris Removal, Category B—Emergency Protective Measures, and Direct Federal Assistance is approved for the counties of: Conway, Crawford, Faulkner, Jefferson, Perry, Pulaski, Sebastian, and Yell.

Disaster Recovery Centers will be established as FEMA begin to set up operations.  I will advise you of the location, when they’re available.   Also, individuals also have to the options to register by phone by calling:  1-800-621-FEMA or 1-800-621-3362, see the attached flyer for more information.

Below are YouTube videos you can view and share with others to learn about the FEMA individual assistance registration process.  Please note, assistance is limited to the areas that were directly impacted and identified in the approved disaster declaration.

FEMA Accessible: Answering Yes to the Disability Question When Registering for Assistance

**ALERT**Alert for people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs.  Registration QUESTION #24!!! Answer YES to this question if you have a disability, special needs, or other health or medical condition. This is the best way to note any additional disability related losses and/or needs such as, medical support assistance, durable medical equipment repairs or replacement or assistive technology that was lost or damaged as a result of the disaster.  (Examples include: wheelchair, scooter, walker, CPAP machine, hearing aids, eyeglasses, screen reader).  This questions would also assist with identifying other services you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for.
