“Mad in America” sparks critical discussion about mental health care

“Mad in America” is a webzine that provides news, research, and a forum for discussion about the existing paradigm of psychiatric care. The topic of psychiatry is viewed through a social justice lens. The site advocates a focus on more psychosocial modalities for mental heath care, rather than the traditional reliance on psychiatric medications.

The site itself contains a wealth of information. In addition to the webzine, which is full of research articles and analysis, Mad in America Continuing Education hosts online courses taught by researchers in the field.

To access all of these resources and engage in the discussion, visit https://www.madinamerica.com/
