Resident reported to APRN that he bent his finger back while playing basketball. X-ray was done in house. Resident’s X-ray of his right 5th finger came back positive for fracture. APRN notified and gave order to send patient to Ozark Ortho to evaluate and treat. Injury happened yesterday when resident hit the ball with his fingers as per APRN assessments. He went to Ozark Ortho on same day and they placed a soft splint on two fingers.
