Resident had verbal altercation with peer and was brought to the hallway and started punching a door. Minor swelling noted on both hands. Order received for bilateral hand X-rays. Results pending as of 10/30/23. Swelling has gone down and resident is not complaining of any pain or discomfort at this time.
Licensing Specialist informed resident’s x-ray showed old fractures of the right 4th and 5th metacarpal and soft tissue swelling. Left hand normal.
