Resident1 was attempting to antagonize Resident2 by being close to him. Resident2 became upset and hit Resident1 in the nose. They were hitting each other while staff members were physically intervening for safety. Resident1 had a nosebleed and the APRN was notified and ordered an x-ray. X-ray results: Non-displaced fracture of R nasal bone. He will follow up with the APRN today related to this injury.
