Resident started disrupting the class and other residents were ushered out of the classroom. She started drawing obscene pictures, making obscene statements, stripped in the classroom, stood in the teacher’s chair and forced herself to urinate on the chair. Because this has been a continuation of behaviors, the medical director was contacted and he directed that she be assessed at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Because we determined that it was not safe for staff to transport the resident by company vehicle, EMS was contacted and they along with a staff member transported the resident to ACH. While at ACH she started to make comments to kill herself and was eventually admitted and transported to Conway Behavioral Health for acute care. It is not anticipated that she will return to PRTC.
