Resident reported that he was having pain 8/10 to his right hand. It was reported that he was upset, hitting walls. Nursing notified APRN, x-ray was obtained in house and findings show acute fracture to mid-shift of 4th metacarpal. Orders received to take resident to Physician specialty for confirmation. Resident was taken via our staff to hospital. Fracture was confirmed and soft cast applied to right hand. Resident to follow-up with Dr. David Yakin in 1-2 weeks. We will treat with Tylenol PRN for pain.
