Escape from a Juvenile Detention Facility, Second Degree Escape
Officer was dispatched at approximately 1021 hours in reference to 3 Juveniles that escaped the facility. Upon arrival, Staff stated they had caught 1 of the Juveniles. Officer patrolled the area and located the other 2 Juveniles, transporting them back to facility.

Officer was dispatched at approximately 1922 hours in reference to 2 Juveniles that ran from facility towards nearby woods. Officers were unable to locate. Officer spoke with Staff on 2/27/2021 who stated that both Juveniles were found on 2/25/2021, one at 8:30pm and the other at 11:30pm.

Officer was dispatched at approximately 1358 hours in reference to a runaway Juvenile. Staff stated Juvenile ran towards the woods and there are other employees out looking for him. Officer was advised at 1450 hours that Staff had the Juvenile back in their custody.

Upon Officer’s arrival to facility, there were several employees outside talking with another individual who appeared upset. Individual stated he was upset about his money from working at the facility. Officer advised him that he could no longer stay at facility due to them asking him to leave and he is no longer working at the facility. Individual calmed down and Staff advised him of his money that would hit his bank account on the next pay period. Individual apologized and left on his own.

Officer was dispatched at approximately 0800 hours to abandoned house for a missing child called in the previous evening by staff member. Missing since approximately 2230 hours. Officer could not locate. At approximately 1640 hours on 1/10/21 Officer was informed Juvenile had been found and returned back to facility. Juvenile had been sleeping in a vehicle on an employee’s mother’s property.

Staff reported 2 Residents ran away from facility. Both Residents were found a little over an hour after reporting.

Staff reported that a Resident might be in the ceiling, and maintenance was currently on the their way to locate individual. Staff reported that Resident was hiding in the ceiling, but they would notify officers if Resident tried to leave facility.

Staff reported that 2 Residents were “missing”, although Residents were in the facility attic. Staff stated one of the Residents almost fell through the roof on top of Staff. Officers responded to facility.

Staff stated 3 Residents started a riot by throwing food, cursing, yelling and running around without obeying commands of Staff. Residents were located and detained in handcuffs by responding Officer. 1 of the Residents continued to be disruptive, Officer took that Resident to patrol car to calm down. Other 2 Residents calmed down and were given shots to allow them to sleep for the night. Officer released Resident in patrol car.
