Staff reported juvenile jumped the fence and ran. Juvenile has a big abrasion on his hairline, still actively healing. Staff advised juvenile had just assaulted a peer and then fled, no one following him. A few minutes later, staff reported juvenile came back and they no longer needed police. Officer confirmed juvenile was at facility; CEO stated they never lost sight of him.

Staff reported 3 juveniles were on the roof and 1 stated he would commit suicide. Staff didn’t know how the juveniles got on the roof. Juveniles were walking around on the roof, sitting on edges, and laughing at staff. Juveniles got off the roof while police were on scene; No action requested by staff.

Battery
Upon officers arrival, staff stated a large fight broke out between the juveniles at the facility. Staff member stated she was hit with a chair. A juvenile had injuries to his face and arms. Staff asked officers to leave due to carrying firearms. Another staff member met officers outside, stating that while she assisted in holding a juvenile back from the fight, the juvenile grabbed her by her thumb and bent it backwards to her arm and then pushed her into a wall and kicked her in the stomach. Staff member stated facility has no safeguards for their employees and they are unable to defend themselves when being attacked. She did not want to pursue charges and stated her employer would do nothing to help her. That staff member was transported to the hospital.

Caller advised a juvenile left the facility on foot. Upon officers arrival, juvenile was with staff and was given a ride back to the facility. Juvenile was cooperative.
