June is PTSD awareness month, so this is a great time to increase your knowledge about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is home to the National Center for PTSD, which provides extensive information and resources to assist someone struggling with PTSD. While (of course) the focus of the VA is on veterans, information and resources are provided through the National Center for PTSD for the general public as well. They even have separate sections for the public and for professionals, and a search link is provided at the bottom of their home page to assist site visitors with finding help.
