Temporary Restraining Order filed in case against state prisons

Disability Rights Arkansas

At 2 p.m. today, Judge Kristine Baker will hear oral arguments on the on the supplemental motion filed by the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Disability Rights Arkansas, ACLU of Arkansas, Squire Patton Boggs, and Laura Fernandez for a temporary restraining order requiring the Arkansas Department of Corrections to immediately undertake preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 within its facilities. Members of the public may attend the hearing at the Courthouse, where appropriate COVID-19 precautions and social distancing requirements will be strictly enforced.
