Thriving in the Community: A Survivor’s Day Celebration in Honor of Brain Injury Awareness Month

Disability Rights Arkansas, the Arkansas Trauma Rehabilitation Program, Neuro-Restorative and Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute are collaborating to present “Thriving in the Community: A Survivors’ Day Celebration” in honor of Brain Injury Awareness Month, which is every March.

The 2017 survivors day celebration will be March 28, 2017, from 9am to 3:45pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in West Little Rock.  The event is free and lunch is provided.  There will be several sessions geared towards the theme of not just surviving, but thriving in the community.  There will be several informative sessions, including sessions about pet therapy, music therapy, and phone apps that help people who have sustained a brain injury.  While the event is free, we ask that you register by calling 1-800-482-1174 or 501-296-1775 so that we can ensure we have enough lunches for everyone.
