Methodist Children’s Home operates multiple programs on a single campus. Police responses to this campus often do not identify the program they are responding to. All reports plausibly related to the PRTF or Qualified Residential Treatment Program/Group Home (QRTP) have been included here. Where we can be certain the response was to the QRTP it is noted.

QRTP – Caller (staff) stated Juvenile 1 took her keys/fob from her desk in the office. She said she didn’t see him take them, but she was in a verbal disturbance with him earlier. Caller recovered the keys outside on the ground before officers arrived. Caller stated she would have the video footage reviewed.

QRTP – Staff stated they heard a loud commotion at end of hall and located J1 in J2 and J3s room. J1s nose was bleeding and had been fighting J2 who accused him of stealing money. J1 also stated that morning, J2 and J3 were fighting. J2 stated he did not steal J1s wallet, but later returned it to officer to give to J1. J3 stated after J1 was calling him a pedophile and hitting him, he picked up J1 and slammed him on the ground. J3 had a busted lip.

Staff advised J1 was throwing rocks at her vehicle and the property, busting out the windows. Staff requested J1 be transported to ACH and stated she as well as facility wants to seek charges on J1. J1s hand and nose were bleeding; MEMS responded and transported J1 to ACH.

Staff stated while trying to break up a fight between J1 and J2, J1 pushed staff into a door. J1 stated J2 came into his face and swung at him so they began fighting. J2 stated J1 had been talking about him and he got tired of it so he swung at him.
