Methodist Children’s Home operates multiple programs on a single campus. Police responses to this campus often do not identify the program they are responding to. All reports plausibly related to the PRTF or Qualified Residential Treatment Program/Group Home (QRTP) have been included here. Where we can be certain the response was to the QRTP it is noted.

QRTP – Staff stated an individual that was previously part of the program had returned and allegedly attempting to sell drugs to other children and demanded to see girlfriend (juvenile at facility). Upon Officers arrival, individual had left the area but Staff called back later saying he had returned. Upon arrival, individual left again; Officers searched area with negative results.

QRTP – Staff reported Juvenile got upset and threw rocks at multiple windows. Arrangements were made to have Juvenile admitted to Methodist Behavioral in Maumelle. Officers advised Staff to seek charges against the Juvenile for the damage and transported Juvenile to Maumelle facility without incident.

Staff stated Juvenile would not follow directions and became violent with staff members to the extent that she had to be restrained. While restraining Juvenile, Staff was kicked in the hand and received injury to left thumb. Staff requested Juvenile be transported to Methodist Behavioral in Maumelle; Officers transported Juvenile without incident.

QRTP – Staff advised that another juvenile informed him that at around 9:45 pm, a Juveniles Father tapped on the window and signaled for Juvenile to come outside. Juvenile then left with Father, who has no custodial rights to Juvenile. On 6/7/2019 Officers were informed that Juvenile was in DHS custody at Ozark; Officers verified.

QRTP – Caller reported child was out of control and trying to break windows to gain entry into one of the buildings. Staff stated juvenile was upset about getting kicked out of his group, breaking the windows to his group house. When officers located Juvenile, he was crying stating he hated it at facility. Juvenile had a couple of lacerations on hand. MEMS responded and took care of the injuries at facility. Staff transported Juvenile to Maumelle and admitted him to Bridgeway.

QRTP – Staff advised they were assaulted by Juvenile; Staff stated that Juvenile got mad about something during class and walked out into the hall, and started kicking the base of the classroom doors. Staff stated she asked Juvenile to stop and tried to push Juvenile away from the wall; Juvenile then punched Staff in the eye. Another resident witnessed the incident. Juvenile was charged with battery 2nd and transported to Juvenile Intake for booking.

QRTP – Staff members advised that 2 residents were in a disturbance; While speaking with individuals, Juvenile1 fled from officers. Juvenile1 was taken into custody without incident; Juvenile1 was issued citation and given court date. Officers transported Juvenile1 to Bridgeway Children’s Hospital.

QRTP – Staff stated while picking up Juvenile from school, Juvenile got into a disturbance with another student; Juvenile then ran from location. Staff located Juvenile a short time later and returned her to facility.

QRTP – Upon arrival , Officers noticed 3 Juveniles sneaking back on the property. Officers transported Juveniles into building at facility. Staff informed Officers that only 1 Juvenile was still missing. Juvenile that was still missing returned to the facility a short time later.

QRTP – Staff stated Juvenile became upset because she couldn’t have her telephone and her pass was revoked. Staff stated Juvenile began throwing dishes, breaking legs off the dinner tables, and tearing bulletin boards off the wall. Staff also stated Juvenile threatened to cause them bodily harm. Juvenile was transported to Bridgeway facility without incident.
