Methodist Children’s Home operates multiple programs on a single campus. Police responses to this campus often do not identify the program they are responding to. All reports plausibly related to the PRTF or Qualified Residential Treatment Program/Group Home (QRTP) have been included here. Where we can be certain the response was to the QRTP it is noted.

Contact with family (Calls and visit schedule): Clients have regularly scheduled phone call opportunities. The number of actual calls depends on the clients wish to utilize these opportunities. In person visitation (assuming no quarantine precautions) is available every weekend and can be scheduled at other times as needed by the family or guardian.

QRTP – Officers responded to facility for a Juvenile Disturbance; Upon arrival, Staff stated Juvenile had walked away from his living unit. Officers and Staff circulated the area with negative results.

QRTP – Officers responded to secure scene for MEMS. Juvenile stated he took “crack” five days ago and was having chest pain; Juvenile stated he usually does meth. Juvenile stated he didn’t know where he got it from. MEMS transported Juvenile to Children’s Hospital. DHS met Officers at hospital to take custody of Juvenile.

Staff stated he would like to make a report of a Juvenile assaulting him; Staff stated Juvenile became very irate and began punching and scratching him. Officers observed minor scratches on Staffs neck and ear. After Officers stated he would need to go to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Staff stated he no longer wanted to make a report and didn’t want to go to court.
